Roomora: global hotel reservations.
An online travel agency for hotel reservations, users search destinations, compare properties and book instantly with dynamic availability and pricing.
The challenge.
- Travellers expected instant search, filters and a mobile-first booking flow — pick a destination, choose dates and book in a few taps.
- The platform had to pull from supplier inventory, handle multi-currency pricing and enforce each supplier's refund and cancellation policies.
- Availability and prices had to stay current so travellers never booked a room that was gone or mispriced.
Our approach.
- Built a React booking surface where travellers search a destination or hotel, filter results and book with multi-currency checkout.
- Normalised supplier inventory into a single availability-and-pricing model behind a Django and Django REST Framework API.
- Kept availability and rates current so search results reflect what's actually bookable.
- Added admin tooling for rate plans, promotions and refund-policy enforcement.
The outcome.
- Travellers search, compare and book hotels from one mobile-first surface.
- Onboarding a new supplier becomes a data-mapping task rather than an engineering project.
- Refund and cancellation rules apply consistently at booking time across supplier feeds.
