AI consulting services
that end in a decision.
We help you decide which AI projects are worth building, whether your data can support them and what they will cost to run. You get a written recommendation and a scoped plan, whoever ends up building it.
Start with the problem, not the model.
Many AI projects stall because they start with a tool and go looking for a use. We work the other way round. We map where time and money go in your organisation, list the tasks AI could take on, and score each one on value, feasibility, data and risk. Some ideas don't survive that scoring, and that is a useful result.
Everything we conclude is written down: the use cases we recommend and the ones we don't, the reasons, the costs and the risks. Your board, your IT team and any supplier you choose can read the same document and weigh the same evidence. If a proof of concept is warranted, its pass mark is agreed before any code is written.

From a long list of ideas to a plan you can fund.
Engagements range from a short readiness assessment to a full pilot. We agree the questions to answer and the deliverables at the start.
Use-case selection.
A workshop-led review of where AI could help, then a ranked shortlist scored on business value, technical feasibility, data availability and risk. You see why each idea ranks where it does, not just the ranking.
Data readiness audit.
Where the relevant data lives, who owns it, how clean and complete it is, and whether you are allowed to use it for this purpose. The output is a list of gaps and the work needed to close them, in priority order.
Build, buy or fine-tune.
For each shortlisted use case, a comparison of an off-the-shelf product, a custom build on a hosted model, retrieval over your documents and fine-tuning. We set out the trade-offs in cost, control, lock-in and time to first release.
Proof of concept with an evaluation plan.
A small working build on your real data, judged against success criteria and a test set agreed in advance. The result is a clear go, change or stop, rather than a demo that only shows the good cases.
Cost modelling and vendor selection.
Projected token spend at expected volumes, hosting and licence costs, and how model choice changes both. Where a vendor or model has to be picked, we compare the shortlisted options on your tasks and your data.
Governance, risk and roadmap.
A view on UK GDPR, data residency and, for products serving EU users, the EU AI Act risk tiers. Then a phased roadmap from pilot to production, with the skills your team will need and training for the people who will own the system.

A recommendation is only as good as the evidence behind it. These are the platforms, tools and frameworks we use to gather that evidence:

The same AI consulting work ships under any of these three commercial shapes. The difference is in how you hold us accountable and how you scale up or down.
More AI services.
Each kind of AI work has its own page. Most projects combine two: an assistant grounded in your data, and an agent or integration that acts on it.

We review your candidate use cases, the data behind them, your current systems and your governance position. You receive a scored shortlist, a data gap list, an outline cost model and a recommended next step for each use case. It is a written document, designed to be shared with leadership and IT.
Usually RAG first. Retrieval keeps answers tied to your current documents, is cheaper to change and makes it easy to cite sources. Fine-tuning helps when you need a consistent style or format, a narrow task done cheaply at high volume, or behaviour that prompting can't reach. When the choice isn't obvious, we test both against the same evaluation set.
It depends on scope: how many use cases we assess, how many systems and data sources we review, and whether the engagement includes a proof of concept. An assessment without a build is the smaller piece of work. We quote a fixed scope after an initial call, with the deliverables listed in the proposal.
It can. If you place an AI system on the EU market, or its output is used in the EU, the Act may apply even though you are UK-based. Obligations depend on the risk category of each use case, so we map your use cases to their likely category and flag where you need formal legal advice. UK GDPR applies whenever personal data is involved, whatever the Act says.
Only where a custom build is the right answer. If an off-the-shelf product meets the need, the recommendation says so. The plan is written so that any competent team, yours included, could deliver it.
You decide. You can take the plan in-house, put it out to tender or ask us to deliver the pilot. If we build it, the success criteria and evaluation plan from the consulting stage carry straight into the statement of work.
“Dragonfly has been working with the team at Enigmatix Global for several years now on building out our web-based platform and APIs. One of their strengths is quickly building out a multi-disciplinary team to work on the development and delivery of features with different technical requirements. Their support has allowed us to accelerate our development work without building an internal team. They have also worked seamlessly with other third parties both during the acquisition of Dragonfly and development of our mobile app. Enigmatix Global has been instrumental in bringing our ideas to life and providing guidance to help us make the best technical decisions. I would recommend getting in touch with them if you're looking for support.”
